Great Lakes AHF Meeting

When:  May 11, 2021 from 14:00 to 16:30 (ET)

I am pleased to announce that the four AHF Great Lakes Region Chapters (Chicago, Hoosier, Michigan and Wisconsin) have scheduled a joint webinar on Tuesday, May 11th which is scheduled at 2pm to 4:30pm EST.  This webinar is in place of our annual in-person meeting we held previously in conjunction with the National Restaurant Show.  The leaders from the four chapters hope you are able to participate on the Webinar as there are some great presenters with excellent content to share.

 

The event will be moderated by talented Joe Carbonara, the Editorial Director for Foodservice Equipment & Supplies.  We are also pleased to announce that Ryan Conklin, Director and Executive Chef at UNC REX Healthcare and our current AHF National President, will also be speaking to the group to share National AHF updates.

Lessons Learned and Moving Forward

In an effort to foster the AHF Mission of Collaboration, we will be diving into the unprecedented change and reform our industry has undergone in response to a global pandemic. Leaders from Healthcare, B&I Dining, College and University Dining, and Design Consultants will share their experience and expertise on how they navigated a time when all steps felt reactionary. The narrative and inherent lessons from this multifaceted collection of food service professionals will help guide our industry going forward so that our responses will be proactive as our industry evolves.

Learning Objectives:

·         Identify processes that have changed due to the pandemic

·         Discover best practices to implement now and the future

·         Connect with others who have faced similar situations and discover solutions

 

AHF National Update

Ryan Conklin, AHF National President will provide news of upcoming events within the organization in addition to new projects that the Board of Directors are working on.  Members will also get an update of the upcoming National Conference scheduled August 24th to 27th in Dallas.
