Opportunities & Challenges with New Hospital Construction

When:  Sep 27, 2022 from 16:00 to 17:00 (ET)

Join us for a unique conversation about the dos and don’ts of a new hospital construction. Advocate Aurora Health recently completed construction and opened a replacement hospital in Sheboygan WI. This state-of-the-art new campus replaces a building that has been serving the community for over 100 years. The replacement hospital, Aurora Medical Center Sheboygan County, serves the community of all of Sheboygan County in rural WI for vital services including trauma, ED, OB, and Behavioral Health in addition to state-of-the-art surgical procedures and general admissions. Through the construction of this new building, the Food and Nutrition Services team was forced to dissect their entire operation to best understand the needs of their patient populations and how to best serve them, while also driving revenue and removing health inequities across the community. This conversation will be an intimate review of the process of this replacement hospital from design, review, construction, and opening and how another healthcare institution can position itself for success during an extremely challenging time.
