AHF’s Self-Operated Project Team mission is to support, encourage, and engage facilities to be self-operated or stay self-operated.
The Self-Operated Support (SOS) Team is made up of current AHF leaders, subject matter experts, consultant partners, and operators who can lend support to individuals in urgent need. By submitting an SOS Request, the SOS Team can provide you with the resources and guidance you need if you are a self-operator who needs to prove your value and/or who is under threat from contractors. The SOS team can also provide resources and support to those operations who are looking to become self-operated as well as to those who are newly-minted self-operated facilities and organizations. AHF members can access a full library of resources, including, but not limited to, “AHF Benchmarking Formulas,” “Best Practices in Financial Management in Food & Nutrition Services,” “Comparing Contract Vs/ Self-Operated Foodservice,” and so much more.
If you are a self-operator who needs more advanced support, the SOS team will refer you to our Consultant Partner Assistance Program (CPAP) for a complimentary session with one of our consultant partners who will provide 60-90 minutes of free support.
