AHF offers several ways to get (and stay) connected to your healthcare foodservice peers and colleagues, stay on top of the latest industry news, and get inspired.

Online Member Communities:  Join the Conversation

The AHF online member community discussion boards offer the collective knowledge of 1300+ members available at your fingertips 24-hours a day! Share your expertise and experience with fellow self-operators in acute care and senior living. Right now, AHF members (your peers and colleagues) are discussing topics such as:

  • “Self-Serve Kiosk Operations” in the post-COVID era. How do self-serve kiosks fit into a post-COVID modernization plan for your foodservice operations? How do you utilize Apple/Android Pay?
  • “Bereavement/Condolence Meal and Snack Programs.” Does your hospital/health system offer a bereavement/condolence meal or snack program? Were any changes made to the program in relation to the COVID-19 pandemic? Is the program funded by the food/nutrition department, inpatient unit, or another service?
  • “Clinical Nutrition” staffing and workspace. What sort of workspace do you provide for your clinical nutrition team? Are your clinical nutrition teams members (RDNs and DTRs) expected to be on patient floors with the patient care team or near the kitchen/with the foodservice team? What model works the best?
  • “Employment of Minors in Healthcare Foodservice.” Do you employ minors? If yes, what sorts of tasks do they perform? If not, why not?

Contribute to these topics, and many more, or start a new conversation by visiting the AHF Online Discussion Boards & Communities today.  Don’t let this valuable member benefit go to waste!
