mgRuueGGQNSCnaZppBL8_Self-Op Logo-T.jpgIn November AHF launched its newest program designed to further strengthen the self-operated healthcare foodservice industry for both acute care and senior dining/living. AHF's new program called the "Self-Operator Support (SOS) Team" provide resources and mechanisms for operators and facilities:

  1. Who are self-operated but are in a position where they must prove their value
  2. Who are exploring, or are in the process of, becoming self-operated
  3. Who are newly minted self-operated facilities in need of community support and actionable information
This program is a pathway for anyone encountering the issues or scenarios above or knows someone who may need support in these situations. AHF is the only national organization dedicated to furthering the field of self-operated facilities. Our resources, both financial and otherwise, are all fed back into protecting and growing the self-operated healthcare foodservice industry.

In addition to the information above the program provides members with access to supporting documents including:

  • After the Contractor: Supporting guides and information for newly self-operated facilities to help you get up and running efficiently as quickly as possible.
  • AHF Patient Engagement Checklist: New Self-Op Foodservice Directors can use this document to help plan your engagement plan, including a management schedule.
  • AHF Retail Checklist: New Self-Op Foodservice Directors looking to get their retail programs running smoothly.
  • Making an Informed Decision: For facilities and Self-Op Foodservice Directors being threatened by a contractor. Plan your response and presentation to combat their attack.
  • Comparing Contract and Self-Operated Foodservice: Protect your team and your facility from attacks by contract firms.
  • Fast Contractors Facts: Quick facts to help protect yourself against a contractor's pursuit.
