AHF Members Honored with Top Industry Recognitions in Self-Operated Foodservice

Arlington, VA – August 12, 2020 – The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) today announced the Association, and self-operated foodservice industries, top awards to six healthcare foodservice operators. The awards were presented Thursday, August 20, 2020 at 3:30 pm ET at AHF’s 2020 Virtual Conference Award Ceremony. AHF’s annual awards program is a mechanism to identify and highlight members of the AHF community and self-operated foodservice industry for their achievements. It is a prestigious honor to receive an award.

AHF is honored to be able to recognize the following leaders for excellence in the field of self-operated foodservice:

Exemplary Leadership Award - Neal Lavender, JPS Health Network
The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) today announced that Neal Lavender, Executive Director of Food and Nutrition Services at JPS Health Network has won the AHF Exemplary Leadership Award.  The award recognizes member contributions in their operations as well as to regional, local chapters or networking meetings. 

Future Horizons Award - Brian Dixson, Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital
The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) today announced that Brian Dixson, Foodservice Manager at Geisinger Shamokin Area Community Hospital has won the AHF Future Horizons Award. The Future Horizons Award recognizes operator members who are new to management (less than 5 years) and demonstrate a desire for future growth through contributions to their hospitals or community. 

Partnership In Leadership Award - Joe Archambeault, Centra Health
The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) today announced that Joe Archambeault, Vice President of Support Services at Centra Health has won the AHF Partnership in Leadership Award. The Partnership in Leadership Award recognizes an operator member's facility that demonstrates a strong commitment to self-operation and currently supports the foodservice director or foodservice administrative director.

Spotlight Award - Kevin Vos, Spectrum Health - Butterworth Medical Center
The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) today announced that Kevin Vos, Senior Director of Hospitality Support Services at Spectrum Health - Butterworth Medical Center has won the AHF Spotlight Award. The Spotlight Award recognizes operator members who have enhanced operations through new ideas and industry trends. 

Sustainability Award - Rochelle Drexler, Aspirus Wausau Hospital 
The Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF) today announced that Rochelle Drexler, Director of Nutrition and Food Services at Aspirus Wausau Hospital has won the AHF Sustainability Award. The Sustainability Award, presented to Rochelle Drexler, recognizes operator members who implemented or continuously improved and expanded foodservice waste reduction programs on the path to sustainability.

AHF Chapter of the Year Award, AHF Philadelphia South-Jersey Chapter

AHF today announced that the AHF Philladelaphia South-Jersey Chapter has won the Chapter of the Year Award. The AHF Chapter of the Year recognizes the local AHF chapter that promotes the National Association’s mission, which is: “Healthcare organizations are best served by self- operated foodservice.  AHF drives excellence by developing members to create best practices, advocating for our members, and connecting the leaders that advance the industry.”
