Rogue Valley Manor's Director of Dining Services, Eric Eisenberg assumes Presidency

Eric Eisenberg, director of dining services at Rogue Valley Manor in Medford, Ore., has officially assumed his new role as board president of the Association for Healthcare Foodservice (AHF), effective January 1, 2022. Eisenberg will lead the premier organization for self‐operated food management professionals in healthcare, senior living, long term care and beyond. Eisenberg was recognized as President‐Elect at the organization’s annual conference in Dallas, Texas on Aug. 25, 2021. He joins a diverse leadership comprised of healthcare foodservice professionals who are drawn from the organization’s member base for their expertise and industry experience.

Prior to his board selection, Eisenberg was the recipient of the 2020 International Foodservice Manufacturers Association (IFMA) Silver Plate Award in the healthcare category. The prestigious award honors the nation’s leading food service operator talent and is selected by a distinguished jury that includes IFMA members, industry leaders, food service experts and past Gold and Silver Plate Award Winners. Eisenberg oversees Rogue Valley Manor’s healthful and delicious culinary program, serving more than 950 residents who live at the expansive retirement community and enjoy its dining rooms and bistro. He earned the recognition for his passion for culinary excellence and elevating the dining experience and menu for his diners at the Manor. Eisenberg emphasizes diversity and creativity in the community’s menus including seasonal and local ingredient selection, preparation and presentation.

“I can think of no more rewarding purpose in my profession than to oversee the planning and preparation of fresh, flavorful and nutritious meals that are meant to be shared with friends and family,” said Eisenberg. “The greatest ingredient I can bring to the table is compassion for our guests in the form of a wonderful dining experience.”
